MBA 연고전 was held last week on Saturday (21st September 2018) at 연세대 대운동장 (Yonsei University’s Athletic field). MBA students from Yonsei University and Korea University gathered and had fun under the sun while participating in some friendly sports matches. It was a kids’ friendly event so MBA students who came to the event brought their families along making the atmosphere so exciting and fun to be a part of. There were food trucks and food zone offering free scrumptious street food like spicy rice cake, fried glass noodle rolls, soondae, chips, skewers and drinks (delicious beer included!)
We went there early to register at the registration booth and was given name tags with numbers and also a free Yonsei t-shirt! We joined the cheering and took part in some free and easy matches where students can volunteer themselves to score points for their universities respectively.
The MBA 연고전 ended with a prize ceremony, where unfortunately Korea University took the crown by winning by a slight 50 marks difference, and lucky draw session. Many students walked away with amazing prizes sponsored by both MBA students from Yonsei University and Korea University. Prizes ranging from boxed of Kimchi, Starbucks tumbler, expensive wines to tire service coupons worth up to a few million Korean won.
After the 연고전 ended, GMBA students joined the after-party with GMBA students from Korea University for some classic fried chicken and beer for dinner at Sinchon. The atmosphere at the after-party was amazing as students from both universities were able to network and interact together over great food. It was such an eye-opener. We even went on for a second round of food adventure! Everybody took part in the event and in the end, the marks didn’t matter and we all had heaps of fun.
